Planets Not Fooling Around ~ 24 Mar 2017

On April Fools’ Day Jupiter in Libra retrogrades into a precise quincunx with Ceres in Taurus, insisting that if you want to take a stand, defend a position, speak for the downtrodden, advocate for any cause ranging from self interest to saving the planet, make sure that the philosophy behind the action is clear, understandable, and flawless.

Jupiter, using Mercury as his personal Twitter account, saw to it that Ceres’ grievances over the abduction of her daughter by Pluto were successfully resolved. It took compromise. It took clear communication that went far beyond initial tweets. It took work. Most important, it took the establishment of common ground and mutual interest.

Both of the signs in which these bodies presently transit are ruled by Venus. It took some Venus to sort out the Ceres-Pluto stalemate. Both needed to come out feeling as if they got what they wanted and that their dignity was maintained. Ceres got what she wanted half the time. Pluto got what he wanted half the time. Those living on Earth got to live without their food supply being compromised; or the well-being of earthlings was preserved by the gods.

Any negotiation applying an “all or nothing,” “my needs only,” strategy fails with this pattern. Jupiter, while in Libra, presumes fairness for all should prevail. Ceres, in Taurus, seeks financial equatability in the resolution. They are not fooling around about either of these concerns.

On April 4th, Mars in Taurus quincunxes Jupiter’s Libran position. Here again, Venus rulership applies to both planets in the pattern. Similar to the April Fools’ Day pattern, the end real world result must work for all parties. The efforts extended by Mars need to ensure such results. Sometimes Mars rushes off a bit ahead of receiving the “yes” vote from all parties involved. Might be a good plan here to wait for confirmation from all relevant parties and to verify that majority or consensus is the rule. Whether taking on a cause at work, setting up a family holiday, or engaging in your ultimate life aspirations, regarding those in your life and those assigned such charges, be clear on where they stand.

Come April 9th Mars catches up with Ceres in Taurus. Both these mid-solar system bodies possess the ability to be... well, volatile, is an appropriate euphemism. Hair-triggered, reactive, knee jerk and defensive are other descriptors. Not to worry. Recognize the reactive collective impulse, impetus urges out there. You can stand above such response patterns and serve as a calming force in any crisis to restore any compromised objective. Since this is in Taurus, when the economic and real world value of your efforts is realized, at some level, such noble efforts to restore quality control and quiescence, places you in bonus status.

So here’s something that a lot of people in our consciousness stratosphere felt bad about more than a decade ago: An effort is being made to reclassify Pluto as a planet. No fooling!

Alan Stern, the principal investigator of the New Horizons mission to Pluto, claims the IAU definition of a planet is bullshit, a word that Pluto as a planet would indeed sanction. A question commonly received by the New Horizons team is, “Why did you send New Horizons to Pluto if it’s not a planet anymore?”

Yep, that’s a really good question.

So, the New Horizon’s team has proposed that we declare, “A planet is a sub-stellar mass body that has never undergone nuclear fusion and that has sufficient self-gravitation to assume a spheroidal shape adequately described by a triaxial ellipsoid regardless of its orbital parameter.”

They see their definition accurately describing the typical usage of the word planet, including in when appearing in peer-reviewed planetary science publications. Simply and more politely put, they contend the IAU definition of a planet is “technically flawed.”

Somehow the idea that an effort to restore Pluto to his proper realm works well with the transit patterns ahead. Such efforts on behalf of Pluto will take time to occur.

However, for personal objectives, the message from above: No Fooling Around!

Adjust and restate belief systems to ensure consistency with real world goals.

Ensure action taken in the weeks ahead remains consistent with real world goals.

Be firm in your objectives, however, create the largest beneficial reach for every action taken.

Hold the mantra “win-win.”
